second last

assalamualaikum.

it's already 11 past something PM here in Belagavi where I currently live, not sleepy but feel this urge to blog. It has been quite a while.

whether you vivid readers of mine realize it or not, this author is already in her forth year. but no YEYY yet, as this is just the 2nd last year of medical school. And trust me, as you approach the end of medical school, you feel the urge to just stick to become a student. Being a student, gives so many benefits and you do not have to be responsible to the patients you are seeing. Plus, you can make mistakes as many as possible because you are still holding that student title.

And so, that's why life as a student is a bliss. For me, as a medical student, one cannot deny by how far his or her life is living in blissfulness. We are generally been exposed to the wonders of Allah's wonderful creation; the human body every single day.

We learn the normalcy, we later learn the diseased state and try to look for measures in a way that to prevent the disease from worsening or maybe just to stop the symptoms or the features the disease is presenting with. Even the drugs prescribed to the patients are actually us, the future doctors' responsibility to get it right. We can get sued for messing with the diagnosis and the therapy we decided on the patients. That is how insecure and risky our job is.

So now that I have another 2 years to be in calm state of mind, not having to put myself at that risky shoe as a doctor in practice, I must enjoy this life to the fullest! At the same time, must work really really hard not to miss anything out. Because, you can easily missed out now that you in forth year especially here in my University. You see your friends already capable to withdraw blood, so you were like, "Why she can get the chance but not me?!" then you see your other friend who was capable to wake up as early as 7 am just to catch an insulin injection and you say, "OMG...! I should wake up earlier. Damn you alarm clock!". The cycle continues. This second last year in medical school, the school will let you be an adult. You have to decide whether to attend a seminar, a lecture, a clinical ward work (ward round) or clinical presentation. It's all up to you! Hard working is what now matters most!

I was first posted in medicine. Internal medicine that was, for approximately 6 weeks. The duration is quite short compared to usual medical schools which had it for at least 2 months. Still it was an amazing posting. I admit I have learnt so many things. And I also admit during this posting, I had basically improved in history taking and case presentation as well as the physical examination, alhamdulillah! Medicine is again covered the whole thing. It's like you are dealing with things under the sun. Or the pandora box some will say it. Like always, as the first group of posting, there was some problem in between. We didn't manage to complete our logbook like a professional. It was rather sad because you know when you have to do things just as what you can do to get it finish rather than doing something really good because you really wanna impressed the examiners; these two actions are different. We were supposedly to be assigned to different patient each and made a follow-up for each patient. But we didn't do it because it was a last minute call. Later, we just made it finish by whatever wits we have. I myself typed 10 case reports in a week! That's considered a new record! And kids, trust me! Case reports can make you die! Like literally! I am grateful I didn't phew! Only is do not procrastinate in medicine! There's certainly no time to lingering around because every minute now counts!

Now, basically I am in the forth week, finale week of psychiatric. Psychiatric has been the most sporting post so far. Our lecturers are cool and they can totally understand how we work. They didn't just push us to the extra limits which was good. The only main problem came to the time of presenting a case. The problem is once again the language. Dealing with mentally disorder patients are somewhat fun, exciting but then again will just make you disappointed in the end. The disappointment appeared when you tried so hard talking like a chicken speaking to duck, yet you came to nothing. In psychiatry, history is more likely to be his story. His or her kind of story you need to know. What problem he or she had, cannot be asked by simply a question of "What problem are you having?" They would just say mental problem. Or "pagal" which means crazy or lunatic in Hindi. That is certainly not enough to write in our case sheet. To go deeper in knowing what made them come to the hospital is by reaching a good rapport; which needs an art. But rapport alone will not be maintained because they (the patients) see you as an idiotic doctor who comes to bother them in language they cannot understand. I have encountered one patient, an old lady having obsessive-compulsive disorder. She was fine at first, after an hour speaking to her, both in my broken Hindi and English, she got irritated. She asked me for an advice on how to make her get rid off the obsessive thoughts she was having.

Her problem was that she continued being worried that she's being contaminated with her own urine after having that nature calls. She wasted pails of water just to make sure her bathroom is clean after using it. It was so severe that her family members started to notice. She also had this weird feelings that a well (a perigi) inside her room was going to pull her inside. As in to let her drown. She thus cannot sleep in her own room and felt so scared when ever she walked passed the room. She also thinks her hands were dirty - contaminated with urine, so she did not want to cook. The whole family needed to eat at restaurants each day. It was an interesting case of severe OCD. But when my professor took her version of history, the story was different. Well, actually half of the story I got was correct only that perhaps the patient got irritated because she was wanting to tell me about her other problems which was she heard voices of her sister in law who's already dead, but I couldn't understand. I started to give her advice on keep on praying to God, which I know silly but it's the best I can tell her that time. I didn't realize it was a wrong advice until I read her file which wrote she had troubles in praying because she was feeling rather unhygienic for such holy rituals. Bummer!

And on last monday, I actually volunteered myself to have an examination earlier than scheduled. Dr Antonio was rather spontaneous when he said examination was going to held that afternoon rather on the next Tuesday. Because I already pumped with two cases in my head, I quickly raised my hand in order to volunteer; and so I did. To my surprise the fifth year also had their exams on that afternoon, and they wanted to present the SAME cases I wanted to present. It was such an annoyance. I went to the ward an hour earlier to clerk a new patient. Like always, it was Monday, thus there were only like 10 beds full of patients. The male nurse then told me to clerk a patient named Rajkumar because the first on my list was rather mute. Yeah! in Psychiatry you will come across a mental disorder whereby the sufferers will be mute and rather not talk to you!

Rajkumar was a bank accountant, knew a little English but thought he was rather superior than me. I thought he was going to be cooperative so it'd be easy to clerk him. I was totally wrong. Because he was manic he seemed to be smiling but rather deep down inside, he was actually quite irritable. To attain rapport was hard enough. I called a male nurse to help me with history taking. He then said it was hard to take from Rajkumar as he said I was giving him tension headache. I was probably the 10th student who came up to him to clerk him hence he was irritated. The only thing I got was his 5years history of bipolar disorder. Details of each I was not able to get and clarify, I was absolutely a dead meat by then.

At 3 pm that afternoon, I was rather scared because I did not complete my history of presenting illness. I cannot get the true chronology of what was happening to Rajkumar in exact. Most of the details I simply 'goreng'. Despite the things that gone wrong, Allah had definitely gave me the strength to overcome that useless fright of having to present a case in front of the other members of the posting group. Can't thank Allah enough. Alhamdulillah:)

Phew...now it's already the third posting. Neuromedicine starting tomorrow. Then obstetrics and gynaecology where the true stress and hectic will emerge ahahahhaha! Upon all, I am enjoying the starting of clinical years. My posting members are great, they are all tolerable and kind. I enjoyed having kak amalia, che mas, athira mazli, ryan, nadia, marlyana, een and everyone in the posting though. Hope we can survive till the end without conflicts. InshaAllah:)

>>p/s: posting this down because Nik Syakirah ahahaha. She asked how come I haven't blog anything in these past moments. Well yeah, things changed. But I think I'll restart blogging for now. I've always love to blog<<

Quran Challenge and Rumah Islam

Assalamualaikum peeps:)

If you got the opportunity to study abroad, PLEASE GO!

I mean seriously, I found my first tarbiyah in USMKLE. In India. The one who leads me through are two darling naqibah, sisters who are of just one year older.

Still, after two years joining this sitting where we called them usrah or family, I am not yet strong or strengthens. I see a lot of my friends, one of them who also got her tarbiyah in India, but now, wow, becoming a leader in this so called 'Path' towards becoming a better muslimah.

This year, before returning home, I got to stay in RI. It stands for RUMAH ISLAM. Friends who are studying in Bangalore called it White House. Rumah Islam accommodates 13 daie's. 13 forth year IMS' medical students; and one 2nd year student.

I never stayed in RI because you know, often the trip to Bangalore or the transit was meant to be a joyous one. Joyous to me here means, not restricted to any rules. By staying in RI, I always have this mindset that all these sisters would keep preaching me whatsoever and wont let me have a joyous stay.

The clique I was following to this time transit to Bangalore was of different persons. One of them had already got married just yesterday. Barakallah :D and she is a good friend from asasi sains UiTM who Allah had made her heart clear of what she wanna be. A pure daie.

After we arrived at that RI, it happened that the sister I wanna meet wasn't there. I was so frustrated, almost call for a leave and stay at another friend's house in Gokula. It was still Ramadan. And to my surprise, that very afternoon, these MSU girls in bangalore, mostly hold a MABIT together with iftar. My other friends, was so eager to join MABIT and I was like ERRRR.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because I knew if I didn't follow these friends, I'd be left out and all the sisters in the RI also had their own MABIT; so yeah.

We arrived late for MABIT that night, but still were welcomed. It was an unfamiliar house we stepped into; the venue of that MABIT. Every girls were wearing white. Usually the opted to wear white because probably it seems more delightful and pure that way? hahaha.

After tarawih, and some night supper, the MABIT started. It was seriously, and amazingly fun. With almost 30 girls under one roof; it enlightened the spirit to sprint for more ibadah. We took turn to wake up for tahajud and tadarus. All our phones and watches were being taken away. But seriously, that's how it works to train our inner self. Get away from dunya.

Later that morning, we had our mass Subuh prayer, recited the Math'urat then some game called QURAN CHALLENGE.

It was my first time playing Quran Challenge. The purpose was to test how much of the Quran do we know after 3 weeks of Ramadan.

Two groups were divided. One group be the Jahilliyah and another is the Taqwa. Jahilliyah must stop or interrupt the taqwa.

I was astonished at how these friends in Bangalore are so good at the Quran Challenge. Because the mastermind will call out for one person from the Taqwa group. She will be given only the name of one surah from the Quran. She must know the highlight of that particular surah. Go to her Taqwa members and tell them the highlight of that surah without mentioning what the surah is. Technical clue must not be given. Her Taqwa's members must say out loud what the surah is. While the person tries to tell her members about the highlight, the Jahiliyyah members must try to pull her to be in Jahiliyyah by making her giving up. Some of us even tried to push them to sleep back with us.

Seriously, the game was hard. To read and recite the Quran is easy. But to remember every detail of the Surah is hard. Well, that morning was really an avalanche to me, how I was bad at getting the highlight of the each surah and I must improve. No excuses.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Being abroad, there's always RI. I know there are also RI or rumah Islam elsewhere in Malaysia; but I still see that the concept is being much appreciated abroad. RI is a home where you can stay, and eat, and the sisters/murobbi will make sure your Salat, your ibadah are well taken care of. I spent two nights there, and it was easy for me to wake up for tahajjud and tadarus. Simply beautiful, as if we had our life schedule nicely planned and constructed; in a syariat way of course.

The sisters of White House RI Bangalore are darlings now. They eagerly cooked for Iftar when I was there. We ate in a Zuhud kind of way, in a dulang! Because their food is prepared in a zuhud kind of manner too. So that no wastage is present! How cool is that :D

MABIT, Malam Bina Iman Taqwa is indeed beautiful. Other than the chance to strengthen and to renew the spirit as to return to motherland Malaysia, we got to bond with our friends in MSU Bangalore. Ukhwah is then built. Another cool thing right :D

>>P/S: because dad once said; when a person goes abroad to study; he or she can either be too good in her or his dakwah and deen or the opposite of that. It is us who chose the path when Allah showed us the light :)>>

Sayonara Belgaum, for a while

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ramadhan al Kareem to all of you.

Professional examination for year 1 is done, over, full stop, and the book has closed. It ended on last Monday the 23rd with OSPE. I must say OSPE was the savior among all those hard core short essays and multiple choice true and false questions. Probably because, most of the questions were already discussed during revision class, not the same questions but similar. But then again, everything came because of the Rahmah from Allah The Al Mighty.

The day when they said the result will be announced was terrifying. Everyone of us, the 83 students of Phase 1 were asked to gather in our lecture hall to know whether we have triumph or vice versa. It's so shaking I tell ya. Prof KJ, Dr Prabhakar Kore, Dr Rajshekar and some of our common lecturers were there waiting with us. The day before, 14 students were elected to attend the Viva interview with a few important panels. I am so proud to say 2 students from my A1 group were among the 14 students. Well, they deserve it as they had worked so hard literally.

Prof KJ were the one who announced the result. One by one our names were called out, and was asked to stand. Others gave their big round of applause. Prof KJ did offered some nerve wrecking moment when 2 of my friends weren't being called. Then, he said, "Saya memain je" and everyone broke into laughter. Alhamdulillah, all of my colleague has passed the first year successfully. Later, the distinction students were called out. They were five of them. I must say two of my non-muslim friends who sat beside me, Gan and Ryan really deserved to get distinction. They were very discipline, never playing truant and at utmost diligent. I am so proud to be sitting among them in the lecture hall. *event though I didn't get to join them for viva, I iz okay*

Three of the distinctions students were ex PASUM's students. They were as expected and had been smarty pants all these while. Hahaha. One of them didn't study that hard but because of her good deeds to many of us, Allah granted her the place she deserved. Then again, congratulations to all my friends. The hurdles we had overcome with victory. Now, let's enjoy the short break and this Ramadhan with the family.

I got three more days in Belgaum, which I fulfilled with shopping. Celebrating Ramadhan for the first time, a thousand miles from home is okay for me since the community I live in is so welcoming and nice to each other. Even though, we had hard time to know when was our first day of Ramadhan (since India is so huge and every state and city has different time for it to start the month of Ramadhan), it is still fun. And for Iftar, it is never a trouble. My roommate is a chef, so thanks a lot to her for making me fat and thanks a lot to her for acting like my 'mom', waking me up for Sehri. As for Taraweeh, I am so thankful we have many 'Imam Muda' to lead the prayers. I told you everything is perfectly fine here, alhamdulillah. Just worry less and pray more :D

Now that the results are known, and most of the friends already on their way back home to Malaysia, I still has tonnes to do like laundry (2nd cycle), and of course to clear up my desk since I am moving to a new room with a new room mate next year (September 2012 that is LOL). I just found out that we cannot stick to one person even though she or he is our best friend. Sometimes we need some space. And yes, not everybody can stand with our attitudes although we think we have done good enough. Just accept it that, certain people wanna act different ways. I hope this is like a new 'Hijrah' for me. I know my new roommate who is also a year older than me, will guide me better in every way. I wanna be like her, insyaALLAH. I wanna be like her who is so bold yet so polite and respected by all. I rest everything to Allah because after all, HE knows best for HIS servants. And only to HIM we pray, none others :)

Alas, Sayonara dear Belgaum. A place where I discover many new things in life, the place where I found many other friends who are so close to Allah and never get bored to invite us along. Praise to Allah The Al Mighty, for all his continuous blessings and Rahmah that 83 of us had such a good time as a family here. Praise to HIM for He has brought such a fatherly Prof KJ to us; that with his guidance we all had succeed the first year, and InsyaALLAH for the next 4 years; towards becoming great doctors for the Ummah. Plus, we are definitely keen to have many more juniors to come here and be part of us. Amin:)

Here are us. 83 of us with some of our lecturers. It has been great, super great!

>>p/s: will only have 2 days for raya, but then again to be great we need to sacrifice<<

Towards the final

”Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said: ‘When (will come) the help of Allah?’ Yes! Certainly, the help of Allah is near!” [2: 214]

Been here, live here, and loving these people around me. After so many troubles pertaining on the fact that I was damn scared not to get into medical school; and now Alhamdulillah, I am approaching my final year examination with other 82 colleague in USM KLE and 100++ first year students in USM Kubang Kerian.

Passing all the three selanjars was a bless. Allah Taala gave us the best, so don't deny and questioned. There are reasons. Do you know that when you have faith towards even ONE of the 99 Names of Allah Taala, you can actually be granted with Allah's Paradise?

Put your faith now to Al Wakil. As Allah alone the caregiver of all, HE alone who can decides to give or not to give the things we wanted. Instead, HE knows better and gives us the best. Believe and don't doubt him.

Certainly, holding on with the faith is not an easy task. It requires a lot of patience and at the same time peace. And who else can give us peace, non other than Allah Himself.

And today, marked the end of many things actually. Things that will remain as memories. It marks that Chemical Pathology class is finally over, Anatomy is also over and my circle of happiness as well. Yes, a lot of goodbyes in a day can be quite depressed, but some things have to reach an end so that humans can grow and mature. The same goes for apoptosis: eh?

dissection team: girls in my group except adibahrahman (most left)

pretty much relaxing during the last day

Along the circle of happiness with 6 other muslimats, I have found that life is more than dunya; instead; the final goal is Jannah. It was such a mesmerizing experience; full of laughter, full of tears, full of awakening moments. It was my first too. I was mostly quite in our gathering; but they are sure more than usrahmates. They are more like mothers who care for us, love us, and make us feel like home. I will miss them thoroughly ;'(

They also taught me the word 'Uhibukifillah' which I never stumbled upon too; which denotes, 'See you in Jannah together!' The word is really sweet and gives me the sense of fear, of whether I can go to see them and ALLAH in Jannah too, or not? Insha Allah.

Towards the final; they also taught me more on seeking for Allah during hard times, and to reduce my whining. Today, I received an Ohana card, and one of the friends in the circle of happiness wrote me a Quran's verse like the above shown. That verses surely a warning Allah gave me, you, US especially; that to attain and to obtain a place near to him in Jannah later on needs more sacrifices and perseverance. Nothing comes easy. Many loves and many thanks to dear usrahmates, whom Allah sent for love and care.
Nota-nota cinta :)

Love :)

>>p/s : in glance, first year is about to end. Pro exam is looming. I am telling myself to keep calm and study. Allah is there. I need to pass this exam, but I want it to be an excellent passing grade, insyaAllah:') Goodluck to all my friends here, reading this, and there in Kelantan<<

Limitless (Community Placement)

Assalamualaikum,

Presenting the acknowledgement video from my team and I who served for 7 weeks at the Government Deaf and Dumb School at Azam Nagar (just behind our new hostel). This time round was our last visit, and we showed to the kids the memoirs we had so that somehow or rather our faces will craved in a part of their memory.

Thank you for the team members as well for being very kind, helpful, creative, hardworking and super duper talented even though we had trouble communicating at first. Learned some sign language and let them learn to spell some easy English words were our main objective. The best thing of all, they were behaving nicely and ease our job to guide them through the games like ayam and musang as well as other games we played together.

Will miss them thoroughly and deeply. Maybe be can meet again some day:)

Tuang kelas

Assalamualaikum.

After the lovey dovey, not-so-stress environment of the students of USM-KLE, now the strict rules began to take play. HARHARHAR! I like this.

Before this, after these 6 months being here as first years, for the first 2-3 blocks (first semester), the students in my class were very diligent. They came for every class everyday, and carved a big nice smile onto the Indian lecturers' faces. Then, the somewhat hardworking and 'schematic' behavior of frequent attendance has decrease, day by day.

Reason of this might be due to the fact that, most of the students develop a tremendous 'wound' after the immunity loss the battle with the foreign particle or any antigens that were unrecognized by their bodies. They fell ill, they were admitted and number increased so bad. That's how we were forced to have our own kitchen (with Indian chef) called MESS, where we would have our daily meal, for RM300 per month!

Nowadays, 6 months had passed. Students aren't getting ill anymore (other than fever which is common), but the number of absentees are still so high. After the end of selanjar, and just during the opening week of the 2nd semester, the lecturers worked hard to do this feedback selanjar 2 thing which we discussed the topic that had been asked during the exam. For me, it's a super duper important class. What not, it was meant to help us in knowing where we got wrong, knowing where we can improve and who knows the questions might reappear. Sadly, not that I am saying I am the goodie shoes here, but most of the colleagues here didn't seem to bother about this matter. And so, they were absent.

Even for dissection which can be a very boring and sleeping class, many of us (must-not-be-named), would still prefer to ignore how importance is the fact that they need to attend the dissection. I knew it well how most of them were not ill, and if they were, they would just have a typical slight headache or something. I could just say that they were irresponsible. MARA send them here for the sake of taking class, and learn. Not simply, banked in a sum of money for you to enjoy the day at bed instead.

So, recently, when our lecturers had detect this problem, they told our Prof KJ. One day, the deputy dean, came into our class with a long list of names in his hands. The names were those who fail to attend dissection and other lectures plus, they failed to hand in their letter of absentees.

If they fail, to do so, or without any reasons for their absentees, Prof KJ will send their documents to MARA, and what do you think MARA will react?

I just hope that these colleagues of mine have some thought of considerate. Think about how passionate the lecturers are when in come to teaching. I know the Indian Lecturers are not paid that much compared to those in Malaysia, but still they worked super hard to let some medical facts get into our heart and brain. Also, they must always think the reason why the took this path at the first place. Because playing truant is gonna become a habit later on, and could they stand long hours in hospitals upon graduating if they started it first? Sometimes I ponder.

No matter how genius or good you are during medical schools, but keep being absent with out no reasons, you are in a wrong path towards this noble career. And how good you are in your religion, giving religious talks here and there to people, but if you can't change this attitude, you're just nowhere near towards becoming a great doctor.

>>p/s: I am writing not because I am pissed, in fact I am not the one who get consequences if they the one who playing truant. I just want them to realize and for you out there, who are still in quest for learning to think deeply. Mom and dad send us here not because to see we enjoy rather than study when the time is really meant for studying. Even, I am learning from my words too.<<

Goa | A short break

Assalamualaikum. {BEWARE: Don't read if you're lazy}

Good that I am able to post something again. Alhamdulillah, that I woke up and finally blessed with a week off from hectic life.

Last Saturday, 9 girls including me went for an embarking journey to the place called Goa. Thankfully, Goa is not that far from Belgaum. It only took us 7 hours straight. Very near if compared going to Mumbai or Bangalore or Cashmere. Hahaha.

The tour leader was my dear friend cum secretary named Adibah, our co-driver was dear beautiful Yanti. Basically, going to Goa was not a proper plan. The KMB girls made the plan, and my roommate and I said yes at the last minute. We didn't regret at all going with these amazing friends:)

To start up with, we rented a van that can accommodate 12 persons, but in the end 3 of them cancelled and left just the 9 of us. We can say the van is just-enough comfortable through out the journey. The small size girls can easily sleep like a boss in the van. Pity Yanti though who had to sit at the front almost every journey just to ease us with the driver who cannot speak English at all. He only knows Hindi. In the end, the driver named Mahdi (A hindu !) just wanted to sit besides Yanti and no one else. Dasar miang kan??

The journey TO Goa was not breath taking. It was hot all day long. I was wrong to wear black, as black absorbed heat so I was living in an oven. Plus, sitting at a position where the sun shone brightly directly to me, made me tanned without having to go to the beach. The best thing when we went somewhere with a group of girls who are older was that, they would think like how moms would think. Packed the journey with a big tupperware of Nasi Goreng was lovely. My roommate and I made karipap. We called it Karipap Tak Mandi, since we didn't get the chance to bath the whole night making the dough and cooking the stuffed to fill the karipap in. But we made it! Our karipap is the best karipap ever!!! for first timer of course :)

Sleep and sleep, the woke up and eat. The driver tuned on the Hindi song of the zaman batu ages, but we forced him to turn it off since some of us could not stand, and would puke during the journey. The road was wavy, was harsh, was rocky and was blazing hot! We crossed by some amazing sceneries as well as some deserted ones. We even passed by this plantation which looked like sawah padi, and the people only sleep in tents!!!! Pity them with all the dusty surroundings and the bad looking rugged clothes. Something to be learned from what we witnessed.

Reaching Goa, what we mostly saw, were the restaurants which merely all have bars in it. Dozens of westerners or must I say tonnes of westerners were there, happily relaxing at the restaurants, sipping bottles and bottles of wine and beer. We wonder what we can eat there. We finally found our place to stay. Luckily, Adibah had booked three rooms at Fatima Guest House. Of course, we can never trust India when it comes to a name that is familiar with Islam. Fatima Guest House is not owned by a muslim. Instead, its owner is a Christian. A dentist if I am not mistaken. My roommate and another girl named Anis Wahab chose the 2nd floor room and we got jealous by the other girls. Why??? Because our room has this TV with satellite channels and of course a lot spacious compared to theirs. What could I say? It's our luck! :D

In front of the stay, there's a Muslim Restaurant, called Aslam. But we also witnessed the signboards of the shops were mostly written in Ruskee. Russian alphabets. I knew the alphabets really well since I did learnt them for a month during 2010. However, I can't even read some of them as I cannot recall the alphabets . I became puzzled as Goa is a place almost like Mexico but then every signboards tell you something in Russian. Am I in an asian-russian? Perhaps yes!?

Then dear Anis Wahab told me that because Russians like visiting Goa so much, despite their bad proficiency in English, the Goans decided to named everything and make all the billboards in English as well as in Russian. That's why I see tonnes of blondies (most of them are middle ages and golden ages) at the restaurants sipping their favorite Henneken. Jahiliyah is what I can say.

So, too bad the Muslim Restaurant we went, was as slow as a snail. Or even slower than that. The price was costly too. Surely not a place where I would suggest you all to go! But if Goa, I still think it's a place for muslims to consider. The only Muslim restaurant that is purely Muslims I tell ya! The owner of that place suggested Shashilk Restaurant for dinner. It an Islamic restaurant he told us.

After some nice lemon tea, my friends and I strolled along the shops to have some eye candy moment. Women and shopping are like wave and tide. Ahahaha! The shops were abundant. We were spellbinded, but beware! Do bargaining till half the price is yours truly! Don't get cheated by this sly Goans!!

Things I would suggest people to buy would be

1. Goa T shirts (range from INR 100-250)
2. Beach Pants (range INR 100-150 each)
3. Beach Hats (range from INR 100-300)---> I got one for INR 100 ONLYY!!! (RM 7 that is)
4. Keychains (range from INR 20-60)
5. Fridge Magnets (range from INR 100-350)---> Bargain till half yo!!
6. Nice cloth bags (range INR 300-INR 600)
7.Star shaped lanterns
8.tattoo making anyone ??

That's all I think. They are also many Kashmirian's leather shops where you can purchase some leather goods: bags/coats/belts/wallets cheaper than Mumbai. You can also shop for some pendants or jewelleries if that what you ought for! These shops are mostly owned by Muslims.

After tired of strolling and bought what we needed, we went to the beach. They are a lot of bars there, and the moment when we arrived, lotsa tourists were sunbathing. Our aim was to see the sunset and recite the Al Mathurat. Looked like we went there at the wrong time!! Plus it was blazing hot. Thus, we continue on strolling down the aisle of shops. And more money was spent: D

At 6 pm, we walked to the beach back. Sunbathing session ended. So we sat down at the clean sand, and start reciting the Al Mathurat while enjoying the wind as well as the Sunset. People was staring at us bizarrely but we continue on reciting till the sun set fully. It was nice....subhanallah:)

That night went to a restaurant called Souza De Lobo. It was at the beach too! Apparently, walking to the restaurant was frightening. Lots of this annoying men and drunken humans. The restaurant is attached with bar. I went inside, and I was shocked by how crowded it was with drunken humans. Some of them are quieing for more beers and wines! It is certainly not a place for dinner.

The restaurant was actually been recommended by our seniors. Looking at it, I was perplexed how did they eat there. Certainly, they served ham and they must cook using wine there. Sometimes, eating is also an issue that we must be properly taken care off. Another friend named Adeebah told us, Allah has put such a strict rule upon eating not because He wants to put harsh onto us, instead He wants to test our Imaan. He wants to see how do we take care of ourselves while away from getting Halal food, He wants to see which of His servants are the loyal ones. But sometimes, we take it from granted, we took Allah's command for granted. Even if I do eat seafood at that restaurant, that served ham and wine and beer, can I say confidently that my food is halal? How about the way they prepare the food? Of course, I could ask the waiter to tell the chef or the cook to avoid using wine while cooking the food, but how about the utensils used? Aren't they polluted already? There are many thoughts that we must think deeply thorough. Haram food must be avoided even how hard it may be!

At last, we went to Shashilk restaurant, ate western instead of dreaming for lobster. It was so costly for lobster :(( Too bad, the service was off under rated one, very slow and the grilled food turned burnt!. Overall for 9 girls, the price went up to INR 1350 around hundred ringgit plus plus:) Okay for me, but some of them eat this Fish Steak that cost around 20 ringgit and not even worth it! While we were on the way back, they screamed how regret they were for eating eat ! HAHA. (I was in the air as I got my fresh pineapple juice!!)

The next day, I thought of playing the paragliding, but I had no guts!! Water is always scary what not it's Goa not Malaysia. I went to the beach and quickly got myself wet. Love the waves so much! Feel like having them again now! We recited the Almathurat once more, then came some locals who offered us water games like bumper riding, banana boat and stuff. Many came, but at last we got INR 130 per person for banana boat. Sadly, it is not worth it at all! It was a short ride, not as fun as when I was in Sabah last year. Gosh! I miss Sabah and the troops at asasi:( I didn't get my paragliding ride thanks to my under-confidence. Waaa:( But I promised myself to come again and get the ride done before returning to Malaysia for good!!

Anis Sakinah, another Anis, who is popular with her cuteness, acting childishly at 21 years old, want to play the banana boat like crazy. We were on a small fight trying to get the cheapest rate. And INR 130 per person was the cheapest we could ever obtained. Sadly, I did something to my roommate back then, so she went back to the guest house alone without having the ride. Sorry though.

Playing with the beach was superb! Goa is such a heaven of big waves. The water is just nice, not cold just warm and the wave was amazing. Having fun like a blast! Too bad for some of the girls who didn't join though. They are just too old to play, said Anis Sakinah.

Get back to the guest house, rinse our selves, bathed then packing to go back to Belgaum. Searched for another restaurant that we can have our lunch. The place called Infrataria something. Sadly, it too served ham and wine and beer. We ended up buying lots of processed drinks and some crisps to eat during the long journey. Then, Yanti found this vendor. He was selling briyani. Yanti at first didn't see that it was written the briyani was halal, but then she found it when the vendor told her he's a muslim. We were gifted at that moment. Allah has certainly the best plan for us. He knew we were hungry and tried hard to find halal food, so there it was, the briyani vendor.

Lucky us the briyani was superb. Not very oily, and bulky just nice for RM7. The best thing it is halal. Next we moved our journey to the legendary Fort Aquada. Nice place to see the Arabian see from on top of a hill. This was where I got a Goa T shirt and my straw hat at INR 100 each. YAHOO! Also, I get to drink at last the coconut juice yahoo!!!

Chapel St Chaterine was next.  A nice chapel built by the famous history text book person called Alfonso De Albuequeque. The interior was very nice to see, the carvings and all, sadly no photos are allowed T.T No!! The archeology museum was okay over all even though I was having a bore seeing the potraits and all. My eyes certainly not created for arts eh? But now I know how Vasco Da Gama looks like.

After the hot day, everyone was starting to have head ache, so we decided to let Goa go. We left Goa and headed to Jawarhalal Nehru University. Again, the journey was fun. It was long and more breathtaking. It was funny too sometimes. We even did our prayers together in the van, and it certainly tighten the bond between us.

Overall, the short break was splendid. The KMB-ians sisters are so sporting and very nice indeed. Our holiday didn't turn into just a mere holiday but filled with joy and food for the souls. Certainly, looking forward for another holiday like this one, insyaAllah:)

fact: Goa has the most abundant dental clinics in India. waaaa.

Masak-masak

Masak-masak is always fun when you know how to cook, know where to get the almost-similar ingredients like what you can get in home sweet home, Malaysia, and to add more, when you have good buddy to rely on to. Who can actually play as your mother and cook for you.

I mostly care about food. Plus, staying in this chilly weather or better cut short as winter, make you growl 24/7. Lapar weh....and the saddest thing of all when you spent RM400 as your monthly meal but every other kids got chicken but you only get a fried egg + some masala powder. T.T. The question is, where is justice.

Muak is another thing. Muak is when you are EXHAUSTED of having the same kind of thing as a routine. I would say now I am already muak with the food at Mess. Everyday the same chicken dishes, the same warm water, the same hard-stony rice and the same unfresh okra and potatoes deep fried. I can't even stand with the briyani nowadays. Although, briyani supposed to be super delicious.

To quit paying RM400 for the food that I am exhausted with is impossible....why? Because USM's deputy dean, who is very much concern that we won't be having enough time to cook, want us to eat there for the entire first year, and probably for the upcoming years till I graduate (*insyaAllah*) According to him, we will get the safest and cleanest food in India at our MESS but he didn't know how we are almost puking eating the repeated thing.

GEEZ...I whine too much even though I must be lucky that my room mate has this terrific but very surprising attitude whereby she will be very eccentric at times and DOOSH, She cooks like a boss! She made nice nasi lemak last week, but her Mihun Goreng, was awful yesterday. But her asam pedas tastes awesome. She also bought some ikan bilis, which is very rare here people....And I am just waiting for her to make up something out of that. LOL.

Apparently, asking mom and dad to send a parcel of things from Malaysia has becoming a nuisance to them. Pity them so much that they have to spend another RM200 for a 4kg parcel just for me. How could I repay their kindness? T.T I miss them damn muchoooo.

Okay....maybe people wanna see some photos out of this blog. Sorry, just that I hate that my Sony E won't work like the former K770I with it's 3.2MP camera. Blame me for choosing the wrong camera-phone!

NASI LEMAK !!! sedapppp

Pabila rajin menjelma

>>P/S: gambar asam pedas tak sempat capture since I was occupied on that day, hanya sempat melahap je. LOL<<

Dia menangis lagi. And she has gotten worse. The rashes they grew a lot more. Now she can't walk properly.

The blisters gone watery. And it troublesome her. She can't attend lectures, it has been a week. Been to see the dermatologist twice but nothing works.

And it is worst, when I can't do absolutely nothing to comfort her. She cries, and I sit here....

Ya Allah! Please save my friend. Let her regain her health.

postcard

maaf to the friends who feel like I have neglected them,

maaf if I seem like I don't care,

while deep inside, I don't feel alone when I think of you.

I have postcards here with me,

To tell you how much I care and love.

And how much I would like to have you here right by my side.

Three Days

This is an emotional blog people. Mostly, you would here my whines and sad stories. Some would be great news, but then again, I might also, delete this blog one day URGE myself to write more on positive things. HEHE.

It has been 3 BLOODY days dayana azhar, face the fact already. You have gotten two amazing universities. Both are research universities, UKM and USM. So what's so sad? But yeah, UKM didn't offer what you wanted best right?

So basically, after lotsa talking and discussion with mom and dad, with my cousins and all, I decided that maybe India is the best option. I would definitely, without doubt reject the Biomedical Science offer from UKM even though it is a bit interesting. To be frank it was the last option I had on the UPU, so I never imagined it got hooked. But Allah knows best.

On the same day, I knew I was offered Biomedical Science at UKM, that afternoon, came another offer. I never would imagine the interview at Kelantan  was worth it. Then again, I am glad that it was worth the journey and the adventure we faced.

Alhamdulillah, it was USM-KLE International Medical Programme. I myself do not know what the heck it is at first, but MARA was the one who insisted me to apply and to go to the interview. This program is more like what UKM has with UNPAD. More like a twinning. Unfortunately, this would be a five years program at Karnataka, Belgaum, Bangalore, India. On the other hand, KLE is referred to Karnataka Lingayat Education, merely it is a new name for a former renowned Jawarhalal Nehru (JNMC) in India.

Basically, the MOU between USM and KLE was signed only a year ago. It already has MMC accreditation and thus a good place to study. For details please just browse through this : USM-KLE and also HERE  It is not so bad at all, just that the problem is the news from MARA. So I guess I'll just have to wait.

Also, the hostels are of five class standard. And not to mention, the environment is chilling thus suitable for study and sleep purposes. HEHEHHE. Cadavers are abundant. I read one blog post from a senior telling that even in the first year, they already managed to get hands-on the cadavers, doing dissection which is SO FUN indeed. HEHEHE.

But then again, noticing that I will be boarding to India soon and leave the family here and leave the dream to study medicine here, and the friends, and Khayra Amani, brought tears down. I have been crying for days, Both because of happy and sad. No matter how greener the grasses on the other side, ours will always be the best to step on :) I will miss UiTM badly. Why you didn't opt me? Why? I also hope my appeal gives me good news. I am still wanting to go to UiTM as they are lot of friends I already know.

This is the dilemma. More stressful when a teacher from school who suddenly called me and said she has to adopt me if I really want her to help to get a place at UiTM or UKM. Apparenly, her husband is a doctor/cum lecturer and has a lot of connections at UKM and UiTM. So, I was thinking to use this cable but I need to have a strong relationship, that's why they want to adopt me. Sadly, I don't like to burden others. I hate to involve in some sort of complexity that would bring myself into a complete mess. Being an adopt child in a sudden? What is this?

I then talked to my teacher's husband, and told everything. He of course frankly said that my results from asasi is not good enough to secure a place at UKM, and I know that. I realised the fact of being just plainly average for that course at UKM. But he is also lending me a hand for the appealing at UiTM but he did say that I should just go to India. Regarding UiTM, I have to send the details over to my teacher via email, which I haven't done it yet. Maybe tomorrow, em I just hate troubling people.

Naqib, a dear friend, then told me to be strong. He said, Allah loves me so much that he gifted me this wavy journey from the start. I should face this with patience. Because Allah has said in the verse of Surah AL Baqarah, Verse 286:

"Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."

Certainly, I have to go back and seek for guidance, and repent for what ever sins I committed that put me into this situation.

Tahajjud Cinta

Biasalah cerita Melayu. Tapi tu tak penting.

Fouziah Ghous pula berlakon sebagai Seri. Citt. Nama tak boleh belah. Citra ni pulak Seri, but seriously sweet. Senang sikit nak ingat kan? Apa-apa pun, Seri ni kawan Citra. Tapi dia jenis emo sikit. Merupakan anak orang kampung yang amat konservatif dan miskin. Dekat Cairo pun dia tumpang rumah Citra sebab tak mampu. Tapi dia ni geliga, selalu score. Hahaha. Dalam cerita tu laa...kat luar wallahualam.

Episode semalam menyayat hati. Citra dan Seri dah tamat belajar, jadi mereka pun ambil peluang jalan-jalan sampai ke Jordan. Jordan ni cantik sebab ada kota apa ntah yang bersejarah tu, Al Petra kut kalau tak silap. Mereka pergi dengan Wahid (aku tak ingat pelakon ni nama sebenarnya apa) dan Shah Jazle ( aku tak ingat Shah ni berlakon jadi siapa dalam cerita ni)...hehehhe. Kiranya, Wahid ni suka kat Seri dan Shah pula teman Citra.

Wahid ni fikir nanti dah pulang ke Malaysia, mesti susah dia nak ketemu Seri hari-hari. Nanti tempat kerja berbeza susah la nak jumpa. Nanti rindu. Nanti angau. Hahaha.

Malam tu, Wahid cakap kat Seri, dia takut tak sempat, takut takde masa nak jumpa Seri lagi. Wahid juga bilang entah sempat atau tidak dia melanjutkan pelajaran. Yelaa, kalau nak tunggu sampai nak buat Master, sampai bila dia boleh meminang Seri. Malangya, Seri marah dia sebab cakap bukan-bukan. Esoknya, Wahid cuba sekali lagi untuk mendekati Seri. Tapi lebih ekstrim, dia minta Seri tanggalkan purdah, dia mahu lihat wajah Seri sebelum terlambat. Sebelum mereka terpisah katanya.

Seri toleh nampak kesemuanya. Dia lari ke tempat kejadian. Wahid masa tu masih sempat berkata-kata..Seri, saya bersyukur dapat bertemu awak. Terima kasih, Seri. "Mengucap WAHID!! MENGUCAP!!!"

Jawapannya mudah: HARGAILAH APA YANG KITA ADA, HARGAILAH ORANG YANG SAYANG KITA SEKARANG, SEBAB YANG PERGI TIADA TUMBUH DAN GANTINYA.

Saya pernah rasa semua ni. Anda yang baca juga mungkin sama. Jadi hargailah segala-galanya. Masa yang berlalu tidak dapat dikembalikan. Yang ada cuma  hadapan. Don't look back. :)

>>>P/S: KUDOS to TV3 for airing this drama. It is simply the best among the best<<<

Sahabat.

She frustrates me. And I am more frustrated with myself, for not being able to help and guide her. I might not be the pious person she can look for if she needs someone to guide her. I myself have a lot to improve. I am just sad not to being able to be with her when perhaps she needed me the most.

She has always been the craziest person I know. Always the bravest and always the funniest. Always the zealous. But yesterday she shocked my heart out. She is now far estranged from the sirathol mustaqim. She makes me scared by all her confessions.

To the ONE who in concern, all I want you to do is repent dear. Repent and never repeat the sins. I am praying for you day and night. Because again I am your friend.

Ya ALLAH,

Panjangkanlah umur sahabatku,

Kurniakanlah kesihatan yang baik padanya,

Terangilah hatinya dengan 'nur' pancaran iman,

Tetapkanlah hatinya,

Perluaskanlah rezekinya,

Dekatkanlah hatinya kepada kebaikan,

Jauhkanlah hatinya daripada kejahatan,

Tunaikanlah segala hajatnya baik hajat dalam agama, dunia dan akhirat.

Ya MUHAIMIN,

Jika dia jatuh hati,

Izinkanlah dia menyentuh hati seseorang

Jika KAU izinkan aku merindui sahabatku

Janganlah aku melampaui batas

sehingga aku melupakan 'CINTA HAKIKI', 'RINDU ABADI' dan 'KASIH SEJATI' -MU

Ya ALLAH
kurniakanlah sahabatku
kesenangan, ketenangan, kebahagiaan, keberkatan & kecemerlangan
di dunia dan akhirat.

Changes

Life is keen for changes. And similar fact goes to the cyber world.

Yesterday morning, as I woke up from a very good night sleep, I found a change on the blogger. The dashboard is now new and it is the second change made by the administrators. My comment on it? Well, better than the first change lol.

Then, this morning, as I woke up, Facebook got a new FB chat. It can now imply video calls. But it meant nothing to me actually since I rarely do video calls. I prefer typing and not seeing the other persons while chatting. HeheheXD. Because you know,  for girls it would be a drench to grab head covers or shawls just to see someone online.

Other changes are I myself, who happened to feel this blossom of gratefulness and syukur to Allah S.W.T, for HE has planned the best destiny for me from the start. Attending Asasi had somehow put me now to where I can hold on: to many friends whom I can consider as some of the best things that ever occurred in my life.

I have Dina Azureen- who is always funny and a good laughter-kind-of person. I can tell her almost anything and she would listen. It's great to have one funny person who could tell simple stories, but still it felt like the stories are some kind of comedies. Thanks Dina Azureen for everything. You will be flying to Bandung to further your medical degree. Alhamdulillah Dina. I am happy for you.

I have Dina Syafiqah - who kindly our best manager in the group. Always the best 'planner' among us. And the best driver. You too goodluck at Puncak Alam's UiTM once again for another 4 years of Pharmaceutical studies. Hehehe ;D

I have Azneeza Manan - who I called her Jija. She's the most slumber person yet but still the brightest. Always the fun ones and loves watching horror movies and odd movies. She terrifies us with her weird way of eating but still that would make us have the good laugh together. Naissseee...;D

I have Nurul Ashikin - who I adore for her patience and kindness. We used to hang out in her room at Puncak Alam every wednesday for girly girls' movie. She's a true friends for anything, and so adorable too. Too bad I couldn't accompany her to ronda-ronda KL, due to several reasons. emm sad..

I have Eisya Aiman - a very calm lady who is cute enough to just prick her cheeks. Just got her P license which marked that everyone in the troops of girls already have the license except me. T.T. She's so funny and eat a lot yet maintaining those super plywood figure. A jealousy-factor indeed.

I have Eliza Lehan- a quite bossy person yet so fun to be with. With lots of experience working and experience in life. The most responsible person I ever met, and so diligent. A total leader!

I have last but not least the cute Azyan Amani - a very lovable person who is the strongest person I know. Lost her mom recently, but she gave us this example to stay cool and strong at whatever conditions we pursued. Always tell me that being a dentist is better by mentioning about dentists can wear high heels but doctors can't. hahaha. A very sarcastic person too, and can be spontaneously funny. Love her a lot!

I have Naqib - one of the guys both I firstly met online and in real life, who still on the go to have this friendship with me. A doctor to be too, who is now busy preparing for his A Level exam and IELTS- and going to pursue medicine in India. Met him first during asasi, and it was sad to see he left. But I was glad the friendship does not stop. He is a very good motivator and always my hub of advice as well as information regarding scholarships and such. Glad to know him and met him:)

I have Doc- who is now a fresh medical doctor. Just returned to Malaysia from the Soviet Land. A nice guy who I have met both online and real life. And always there when boredom strikes, well sometimes. And always on the go giving those spirits to keep moving on with the madness of wanting to be a medical student. Hahaha:D

There are indeed a lot more friends I would like to mention here, but just save it for later. Above are the girls who inspire me in everything they do, and how they act. I love everyone's personalities and they are the ones who support me in and out besides Allah and my parents. I am lucky to be part of them, it's an honour.

Sabah Detour: almost like Going Overseas

Assalamualaikum people who are kind enough to open one tab to actually read what I post. Thanks a lot for not making my effort to blog a waste. Anyhow, I miss blogging wherever I go, and have been quite a long time since I last post anything.

AlhamduLiLLAH to Allah Almighty Lord for allowing me to join 4 other friends to detour Sabah. We planned early since our foundation at Puncak Alam, whereby Chrystine our Sabahan girlfriend was eagerly inviting us to visit her place in front of the math lecture hall at dear UiTM Puncak Alam. Firstly, Sara Salleh, Balqis Isa together with Azneeza Manan and Nurul Ashikin were about to tag along, but they cancelled on the bit of the last minute due to parents' objection and some due to the fact that they are now working. Therefore, only Azyan Amani, Dina Azureen, Eliza Amira, the group leader; Dina Syafiqah and I who managed to say YES for the adventure. Hehehe :D

Chronology of our Adventure

1. Woke up as early at 5 AM to get ready with things to bring along was a drench after a while of not doing so. Flight to Sabah was at 9 am but it is a must for everyone who are going on board to reach early to the airport in case of anything. Our take of was at LCCT as we took the airbus 3220 Air Asia to hoar like bird to the Land Below The Wind.  And my dad and I were the first among my friends to reach at LCCT so we headed to MCD for breakfast. As we finished, the others finally arrived with their respective dads and mom except for Eliza who came with Dina.

9 am we boarded into the plane whereby we only afford to pay for the economy seats, but still they were comfy. On the plane, there was a birthday surprise for a little girl named Nurin who turned 6. She got a buffet voucher at Residence Hotel KL. Then there was a game where we can get the same voucher, the question was how many seats are there on the plane. The clue was there are 31 rows and each row has 6 seats, so how many?? can you count? The answer is 180...:P How did it turned that way? Well, it's in the pamphlets.

Two hours of a boring flight, finally landed on at Terminal 2 Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA). We were escorted by our tour guide name Abang Yus which until now my friends tend to fond him. -.-'

We were astonished by the Sabah bluish clean beach and seawater. Reached Kota Kinabalu the capital and it looked rather 'tak membangun' compared to here in Semenanjung. We searched for our hotel to shelter ourselves from hot sun and wet rainy days. And I found it first! City Park Inn was the place where we stayed for 5 days 4 nights. It was definitely The amazing '5 star' budget hotel we afford to stay in.

Quiet shocked with the room we got. Superbly 'JUST NICE' for the 5 of us. A double decker and two queen beds. But then, the aircond started to turn lunatic and made us sweating all over during the second day after visiting the Islands. So they gave us another room which was a bit smaller T.T. Oh yeah that night we managed to get Chrystine to join in. She can drive superbly although with manual. I felt little T.T. She was kind enough to attend us and brought us to dine at a nice place which I forgot its name but it was somewhere at the Double Six thingy. Yeah blame me for the ignorance T.T. Oh yes, she also brought us to Tanjung Aru that night for some chill out. Yet no close pictures with her since I didn't bring my camera. What ler....-,-'

2. Day two we headed towards the Islands. Pulau Sapi and Pulau Manukan. Not that far from Kota Kinabalu, around 20 minutes by super fast boat. The journey was amazing. Rasanya yang paling syok kut. Pulau Sapi was spectacular, boleh snorkelling sampai lebam, since we were provided with yellow goggles and life jackets. Seriously we can see and touch the fishes ! But stingray and sharks are a No No. We can only pass the spots with green balls if I wasn't mistaken. The others are dangerous, tempat bot lalu.

Oh at Pulau Sapi we met with this Sabahan guy who happened to be a rescuer. He moved around with a kayak and invited us to follow him to the middle of the sea. Only one person was allowed to follow him at once, I was the last one. So yes, I followed him, he brought me in the middle of the sea where corals more clearly. He told me I better dipped in to touch the corals and see more fishes. I hesitated but then he said I need no worry since I had the life jacket on. So yes, I dipped in, but got troubles with my goggles whereby the salty water kept rushing into my nose. It bothered me to dip deeper. When I tried to get back into the kayak, the rescuer tried to pull me up but he fell too. Hahahaha! The kayak went upside down. It was terrifying. I supported my upper body to the kayak but my I tend to step onto one big-rough coral reef. I was  scared, my feet bleed, but I managed to get onto the kayak at last. He brought me back to the shore. My friends were scared when they saw what happened from far. They thought I drowned. Alhamdulillah everything was super alright. God gives me another life!

After a heavy lunch which contains lotsa seafood and meats, we went for a banana boat riding. I think the ride was a bit too much for rm 40 per person. Bila balik Selangor, my dad told me you can get the ride for rm5 at Port Dickson. But hey here's the difference. At Pulau Sapi we had the ride in the middle of the blue sea, if I were to do it at PD, it can only be done near to the shore. Tak best ler ye dak?

Next was Pulau Manukan, and here is where you can find Taman Tunku Abd Rahman. Basically the beach and the sea are of the same kind of Pulau Sapi. But here. there's some chalets to rent for those who intend to stay overnight, but not us.

3. Started early at 8 am for a trip to Gunung Kinabalu and Poring Hotspring. The journey was a bit harsh with roads happened to be so narrow and berbelit2. Make sure bring along a plastic bag to puke if you might have road drunk. Anyhow, it was fun shopping at the Kundasang shopping spot, the prices are lower than that at Phillipines Market. Sadly, when we reached there, had some money deficit. So can't buy whatever we wanted even though the prices are better.

Arrived at Poring Hotspring around 11 something in the morning. It's hot here. Hot tubs are everywhere but some are not functioning and dirty. Many tourists especially the Chinese and Koreans. The water from the spring happened to be milky like milk when you try to collect it in your hands. And yes, the water is super hot, good for skin. Berendam lama pun takpe asalkan bayar RM 3.

Bored with hot water, my friends then wanted to try the river and the waterfall. We trekked the narrow pathway of the jungle to the nearest one which located around 400 m from the hot tubs. And wearing only a flip flop slipper my feet became easily tired. Sore people! While other friends wore shoes T.T this what happened if you forgot to bring a pair of sneakers or sport shoes...

The journey was super tiring. My friends were excited because the waterfall as if it belongs to us alone. No one else was at the spot. So yeah, it was worth a walk.

Done with solat and etc, we headed to a Chinese Restaurant for lunch. It was included in our package. The place was nice but doubtful whether they served HALAL or not. Mom advised me to be extra careful even though the workers seemed like muslims wearing veils on their heads. There's no halal logo except for a saying says 'No Pork Served'. T.T. The dishes came late and we were mocking hungry. The food was extremely sedap but the portion was too little until after 2 hours later we felt hungry again. T.T

It was raining quite heavily and add up to the cold weather, I was shivering. Not only that I forgot to bring along a pair of closed shoes but I also tend to leave my sweater at home. Thanks to the extra fat, it helped me to overcome the chill and Azyan told me to transfer some to Dinas who is damn thin. Hehehe. I told you being fat somehow beneficial.

Visited a market full with fruits and vegies. Couldn't buy any vegies because we can't cook in our hotel. Bought some cut fruits, sadly the fruits started to smell funny the next day and we realised how we lost RM 5 for the fruits. TSK TSK. Back home, mom advised, next time, buy fruits with their skins on and not the cut ones. I repent, mom. hehee.

Kabus menghalang pemandangan yang cantik. Well, my mom said the mountain looks nice in the morning midst. Unfortunately, we arrived at the spot in the mid day, thus the view jeopardized a bit. We went up till the veranda where the tourguide told us that it is actually a place where you would get your permit to climb up. And of course we didn't manage to climb up because it needs another RM 400 for that, plus we had no suitable attires on. No wonder the climbers stared at us strangely.

Took another 3 hours to reach Kota Kinabalu. It was nauseous along the journey. But before we went to sleep, we took our night out to the Night Market which located at the back block of our hotel. One more shopping spot, to find beads, more pearls and some GOLOK branded stuff. Not interesting though.

4. Paid another RM 170... TSK TSK...seriously too expensive...for what? For our one day experience to see the Monyet Belanda and fireflies. At first, the tour guide, Mr Yus, recommended us to go for rafting. I felt scared because the main reason I had no other clothes to wear since my wet attire went missing blew by the wind. But then, I didn't know by what chance that we ended up paying the same amount for the river cruise.

We headed to a place called Sungai Kias if I wasn't mistaken, took a boat to a cruise in the middle of the river and spent the whole afternoon and half our evening on it. The cruise was okay....we did see the monyet belanda with the long red nose but we mostly saw their buttocks on the tall trees. Tried to captured it into photos, sadly, they became quite blurred since we viewed from far. At night, we had seafood and rice for dinner, which was delicious. Did see fireflies but not as blazingly lighten as what I saw in the TNB ad on TV ....tsk tsk. One thing that happened was that, my friend managed to catch one firefly and put it inside a bottle, plus there's one which followed us into the van to KK.

5. Last day of our vacation we had no good activities to mention. Spent longer time to sleep till brunch hours and packed our things up to return to Peninsular. We needed to check out at 1 pm but the tour guide would only pick us up to the terminal at 6 pm. We left our handful luggages at the receptionist, planned to walk around town but it rained heavily. Sat down at the lobby where thank GOD there's HBO. Watched Anaconda for a whole while waiting for the rain to stop. Then we had lunch at one mamak restaurant called Mohaidin something even though Eliza and Dina wanted to have KFC Cheesy Wedges. I insisted to go to mamak because I thought the price will be lower but I was wrong. The mamak taukey cheated and everyone's food cost RM6.50 even though some of us took lesser food than the other. Sorry guys!!

Fulled with nice lunch, we then took a walk to the wet market to find prawns for Dina. We were actually searching for the Sunday Market but ended up taking pictures by the sea. Gone for another last shopping spree at the Phillipines Market. Needed to quench our thirst, we went down the food bazaar next to the Phillipines' Market where you can get many grilled food and fresh coconut juices. Sat down for some drinks and then walked again to find the prawns but no prawns were found nearby the food stalls. Dina wanted to buy prawns at the first shop we stopped by but sadly the shop closed. She looked rather down so we continue the adventure for prawn seeking. At last, Alhamdulillah she found one shop nearby the KK Big Market and bought prawns with a big smile on the face. We were glad.

At 5 pm, Mr Yus arrived to pick us up to the terminal. Before that, he was kind enough to bring us to the beach near Sutera Harbour and next time if you have more money, you can rent and stay at the five star hotels around Sutera Harbour, said myself to myself. Hahahah. Took our last memoir photos with MR Yus by the beach but we were a bit frustrated not to visit the Bajau Laut houses which floats on the sea water. Maybe next time...

Our flight boarded off to KL around 9 pm, with Air Asia. And we bid farewell to Sabah and its people. It has been awesome, especially with our friends along. I sat with Azyan Amani on the flight, but the others sat quite far at the back so the 2 hours flight seemed a bit boring without the other three girls. Hahaha.

Finally, we needed to go home fast since the parents were already waiting at the terminal. My dad and mom and sister were there since 9 pm so they nagged me for lateness. Couldn't hide the bad feeling had to leave my friends, the ever good friends I had. Hope to see them all again next time. Insha Allah.
