Raya Cookies, anyone?

Assalamualaikum and Salam 1INDIA hehehehehe XD

I know not many of us would put Raya Cookies on their priorities during AildilFithri. And they are not what people most look for during open houses, but seriously, Raya cookies put a very great benefit as a whole.

Usually, when small kids from the neighborhood come to my house, meanwhile my parents are not at home, plus I have nothing to serve them, Raya cookies will be my last resort to give them. Mom always said that kids who come for Raya don't really wanna eat or drink, they just wanna duit raya.

Ok, as I was saying, today I spent boredom with something I couldn't do everyday. Baking Raya Cookies is fun and almost can be considered as Malay's Tradition when Aildilfitri is looming. Sadly, I have no talent whatsoever to do or make special complicated cookies like Pine Apple tarts or Almond London. I just have talent to make simple Conflakes Madu cookies - which if I make them for one whole small container, it can be vanished in just ONE day.

Almost every Raya, I make this cookies. The simplest raya cookies in the whole universe. HAHA. And the most important thing: It's very delicious.

YUM YUM <3

with LOVE

*Cough3*

Ingredients:

1 Big Bowl of Kellog's Cornflakes

3 Spoonful of Planta/Butter

2 Spoonful of Sugar

One Bowl of Honey

Methods:

Heat the wok with slight flame. Heat the butter till half melts. Add in the 2 spoonful sugar, stir till everything melts altogether. Pour in the honey. Let everything mix well. Pour all the Cornflakes in. Using a spatula, mix everything up till all the flakes covered with the honey gravy. Turn off the flame. Let it cool for 2 minutes under normal air. And start putting them inside small paper cups. Beautify them with sprinkles of LOVE hehehe. Then, put in the oven, and heat them for 10 minutes at 110 Degree Celcius.

Once ready, Voilaa...enjoy:)

Exam which feels like a phantom

3rd week now and it feels 'okay' a bit compared to the previous weeks. Why eh? Mostly because I read several motivational comments on the blog, and maybe because I finally could adapt to the UiTM Shah Alam campus. I now know where the museum located, where the laboratory located, the computer lab and the lecture hall of course and find good place to eat around Cendekia. Except for one thing, I COULDN'T TOLERATE: THE SMELLY Shiteous TOILETS!

We bumiputeras are well pampered including us who are undertaking the pre-medicine course. Why must I say that? Well, first is because we joined this thing at the first place WITHOUT the need to pay for anything, just using our money to support on our food and stuff we wanna buy. Can you imagine, how lucky we are, seeing those lecturers cum doctors who are also specialists - and they are superbly nice to us - they gave us lecturers without us paying them any tuition fees? And it's so lucky to be having Dr Hisham, an Iraqi as my Physiology lecturer cum doctor in charge during Small Group Session (SGS). Plus, we are staying at 'moderately' furnished hostels with no fees whatsoever- even though has to bear the gross of the toilets and the smells from them that arouse especially at night.

Then before I go further down to the 'mumbling'- I must say now is a hazard zone. Zone to get all the facts and all the mechanisms inside the brain-those we already discussed of course. Because exam is looming. And it's frightening me off like crazy to think of OSPE -Objective Structural Practical Examination -whereby there're 10 stations to deal with- and we have to answer several practical and structural questions-either on anatomy or on laboratories work like measuring blood pressure or lungs volume and capacity. And this is all maybe- plus, tonnes to be read and not just read but to memorize! Then, also we are required to undergo 150 MCQ's together with 3 Short Answer Questions, which are compulsory to be answered.

Asked one doctor named Dr Syed in the Anatomy Lab just now- regarding the examination. Should we the premed students just depends on the lecture notes or on the books? He said, PRIOR THE BOOKS. The lecture notes are like extra-simplest key points. After listening to the advice, I tried pushing myself to look for more diligence to open up those books and get some points from them. Scary.

But, Premed is also fun. When we got super roommates who heal and washed away all the crazy uneasy feelings on insecurities, when we are able to sit together during dining either it be lunches or dinners, when we are able to advice each other and etc. It's amazing to hear experiences from doctors cum lecturers here- how their life were during the housemanship, during the college years- all in all, they somehow gave inspiration to me- to note that No One Says Life is Easy. What makes it easy, is perseverance and lot of prayers and blessing from Allah and dear Parents.

Thanks for all the comments I received. And, I already been lectured by Mom last week, whereby she told me to rethink if I am really determined to be in this field of madness. Kalau premed pun tak tahan, apatah lagi real med school and real life as a doctor kan? For this 3rd week, I have somehow put in mind that to be rich, this is certainly not the route, but if there's more patience and hardworking together with perseverance and CONFIDENCE we can be specialists- and when we are already one of them- we could gain not just respect but TRUST. The eternal trusts from our patients and the community. Sprinkled too with LEISURE, whereby we can almost do whatever we want without having the need to be boss around.

-fun going to Hospital Sungai Buloh-the place was a majestic, and a beauty of course. Imagine, how we can go doing roundings at the place, so conducive and comfy. And not as busy as those hospitals like HTAR or HKL.

-met a neurologist-who is also very sarcastic and funny simultaneously-Dr Andrean Husin who happened to be our coordinator; Dr Rosfaizah's husband-who told me mostly doctors deal with satans compared to dealing with God. 0.0

-met Dr Faisal, a paeditrician- a good doctor who explains very well.

-met Dr Onkara, an opthalmologist (kutt, dah lupe, tehee:D)  ....who happened to be a bit strict, whereby she advised a group mate to do something with his wavy hair as she told us doctors should look boring not interesting.

>>>p/s: gives strength to your servant dear Allah. To pass all these and be happy. And to Aini Najwa, hope your choice to reject USM is the best for you, Amin<<<

Out and Red Riding Hood

Planned for a game of bowling at Metro Point Kajang, but the plan wasn't meant to come true. Saturday wasn't a good day for a bowl, merely since the place was overcrowded with tournaments and youngsters.

We assumed it was like this but we were WRONG!
Huda was kind enough to have text me and asked me for the game. I asked Maryam and Durrah, long time no see schoolmates and friends, to tag along as well, but Maryam had to be a nanny at her home. At last only three of us, Huda, Durrah and I. Huda, the world's best driver is our best driver too! I certainly had to bring her for a drive someday :')

We hated waiting, and so do everyone OUT THERE. So, we exited the place and headed towards Alamanda, Putrajaya. Nasib baik ada kereta, kalau tak, we will be dead waiting. Our bowling game turned out to be a day out for a movie. There were just too many to choose from, and at last, RED RIDING HOOD was our fate for the day.

she was an okay RED RIDING HOOD

Basically, this movie is a bit different from the legend or the tale that we used to hear during childhood years. In fact, it was different. Much like Twilight, hence I assumed Twilight's fans must be excited to see this one. Amanda Seyfried as Valerie is actually half human half wolf. Her father was a wolf in this movie and would turn into a wolf during Blood Moon, which believed to happen every 13 years? And, there's a family conflict in this movie throughout the end, and twists here and there. It dwells on which one in the village where Valerie lived, is actually the were-wolf. Only at the end, people will understand why it was her father. Emm malas la citer. Tengok la sendiri...:D

If I was to rate this film, a plain 3 out of 5 will do. Not exhilarating till one can jaw-dropped but worth watching. Okay, I guess this would be the last movie for this month and next month. I am broke already :(

>>>p/s: Huda kept telling me, to work work and work. I think I need work. I need work outs and I need everything that has the word WORK in it<<<

Mistake

One of my favourite blogger is Obefiend. The owner of the Blog Serius and also FOA. I think he has senses in his post although sometimes it can be quite bothering and mostly they are for 18 above, literally.

But just a minute ago, he FAILED to give a proper title for his new post on an AMAZING HOTEL called Wonderlust in Singapore. He mistakenly posted it as FUNKY HOSPITAL. And I was the first to comment and notice, and so that's basically what happened. Everybody makes mistake. And he was good enough to admit it. :)

I was eagerly excited to know....curious as a cat. >.< hospital? ye ke?

it was actually hotel, but he admitted his failure. :)

Once there's a boy..

Never ever look down on anybody. That's something that we should always remember. Sometimes expectations came out surprising and yes they always do. This is a story, well not REALLY a story, about my cousin who just got his SPM result today.

Taufiq is his name. He lost his dad (my pakngah) when he was just 8, but he grew up to be so strong and independent. I barely had any current photos with him because he studied so far away there in Terengganu.  But we were always together as a child. I mean, I am just a year older than him, and he is just a year older than my little brother, so Mak Ngah would always sent him to our house for him to play while she off to work.

He has one older sister and one older brother, whom I myself called them Kak Dee and Abang I respectively. They aged by many years compared to Taufiq, and have always been advising him these and thats and everything he does in his life, they would never miss to lecture. Somehow, sometimes, they kinda look down on Taufiq, since he would spent most of his times playing the computer games and such. However, despite his laziness to touch books so often like this pathetic author of this blog, he excelled so much in his SPM today. Well, I still remember how he would finish his maths without even using a calculator though. He is awesome.

Mak Ngah texts my father this afternoon, informing us about Taufiq's victory in SPM. He has done so well and that's a proud in my family. Soon, he would probably find his way overseas doing the environmental engineering like he told me during one of my cousin's wedding. I hope he would get that opportunity because he deserved it so well, he had the ideas, the vision and passion for it. Goodluck:)

-simply a message for you and me. Don't even judge anybody from his or her past. And never look down on people. Because this life is full of surprises-

>>>p/s: Well today making me reminisce about Chiam again. Why should I bother thinking about someone who had gone forever?<<<

Khayra Amani will one day be on t.v. Well, that's what beautiful kids are always turn out into right. Yesterday, seeing her again at Klang was a joy. She's a nice kid, but sometimes a brat. And she's SOOOOOO beautiful even with a frown face:) Just adore her a lot.

khayra with a frown face is on the very right.
It gonna be a milk ad. hehhehe. A brand of milk called Abbot. Lol. I think 6 months break gonna be sufficient to wait for it no?

its tomorrow, next week and the next one week

3 weeks la to go. hehehe. for the finale. I am like having premature contractions in the heart. Lol. Seriously, banyak gila stuff that needed to be stuffed inside the brain, but just pray for strength, and good memories. After all, not everything we learn in Asasi is gonna to be applied in the degree we're about to take. This is fact, told by many who had encountered the same thing.

Tomorrow Chemistry Test. On Monday, it gonna be Physics, Mathematics on following Tuesday and Biology on Thursday. Test II fnishes next week, insyaAllah. Have to struggle harder, because damn I flunked on the last time, and this give me a sign of fright.

Saya dah mandi, segar-bugar, dan kelas ended early. How I love Wednesday. Sadly, today, there's no chance to watch movies with the comrades. Everyone is under stressful condition. Me too to add up. Planned to see lecturers to ask questions, but then again something came up. And the plans became just plainly plans. Now better not talking to the blog, and started revising chemistry. T.T

Anyhow, goodluck for all asasians fighters for tomorrow. Many of them here are awesome. And, Goodluck too for the finale a week after the test. Let's everyone wear batik on the last FINALE-exam day, shall we?

>>>p/s: enough coupon collected. and it's another week of lecture and tutorials. is this sad?<<<

Found something:)

Hi. Wow, today a lot of surprises arose. I just can't believe how happy my family was, when my little brother, got an offer to pursue his Form 4 and Form 5 studies in SM Sains Seremban. He will be going there on February 2010, and he was so thrill when we informed him the news. Good job!~ Alhamdulillah. Still I got a slight sad feeling since my only brother is leaving for boarding school...waaa! No one to tickle the bones with anymore.

Well, today is a free day for me. I was like so bored staying at home. I woke up quite late like usual after fell asleep right after Subuh. Upon awaken, I took my bath and started to tidying up my messy, dusty room. Eww...there's many falling hair all over. They are all my hair....I have hair fall since 2 years ago. Cut the crap....Ok...then I emptied my old cupboard, which is fulled of Form 3 textbooks. Then...I found something very memorable. My tears running down the cheek. A simple chat-notes my friends and I used to have during our boring time listening to a talk 2 years back.

this is what we called chat-notes, a very useful way of 'chatting' in an event

Not only, I found the notes, but I also found a class photo when we were in FORM 3 in SMK Kajang Utama. There were 45 of us in a class room, I think. Can't actually recall it. However, form 3 was a blast. I miss Lee Tsun Tatt, the class monitor, the teacher, Puan Marhaini, Sofiah Nur, a good friend, and also Chen Khai Xuen, a stuck-up boy.

Find me~2x

Rather than those two stuff, I found this box. Not a music box. Not a treasure box. But, a box of my first handphone, which I got it from dad. Sadly, that phone is no longer belongs to me, since it was stolen from me, when I was in Form 4. It happened because of my silly mistake, left the phone inside the school bag. Yes people. Serve me right:( I was so sad, because I left so many important documents in the phone, not to mention some photos taken during The Anti Crime Club meeting in Kedah.

The box...ni je yang tinggal:(
